francis_moreau
Hi, How old is the Leitz Pradovit 153 model? What is the barrel diameter of the lens? Do you know web sites about this projector? Thanks for your answers
Guest
Try Google. I have a Pradovit Color 150, so I've looked myself, but there's little out there: no comprehensive websites, just the odd page in a photography web, alas...
binderup
I have a Pradovit 153-IR (for infra-red remote) that I bought used, but I can't find a date anywhere on it. The overall impression I get is that it's at least 15 years old. The instruction manual says "Printed in West Germany," suggesting it predates the fall of the Berlin Wall, but the projector itself simply has "Made in Germany" printed on the bottom. Go figure. According to my calipers the lens barrel is just a hair over 42mm and has a spiral groove machined into it.

spirok
The Pradovit 153 was manufactured from 1984 to 1989. It is a 150W autofocus unit. The 153 IR (infrared remote control) and 153 DU (dissolve unit capable) models have 2 lamps installed, so if your lamp fails you can switch to the secondary lamp. The standard 153 has only one lamp. They accept LKM (Leica-Kindermann-Magazin) or CS magazines, but not universal magazines. I have 2 153 DU's and a DU-24M Dissolve Control Unit., fitted with Colorplan CF 2.5/90 lenses. Excellent product.
