andrew_spence1
This was an easy one lens is a typical triplet 10.5cm Ludwig Dresden Victar Theres not many scrapy cameras on the net any more you just have to take what you can get as i like restoration projects i just removed the rust ,put on new leatherette painted the damaged chrome black, refolded the bellows cleaned the lens and reset infinity the shutter worked perfectly and didn't need servicing its a very easy camera to use with the body shutter release and pop up optical viewfinder hope you like it Edited May 1, 2023 by andrew_spence1 photos were too small
kmac
Excellent, great job you did on that Beirax. How much smarter would it look with 6x9 NOS Kodak bellows, sold on Ebay ? ... pretty smart I reckon. I just forget the part numbers but some listings have sizes of the bellows. Other than that, you can ask the seller to send you the dimensions. Edited May 2, 2023 by kmac

chuck_foreman1
I was curious too, How did you refold the bellows? Did you remove them to do this? Were cardboard supports or other non-leather supports needed?
andrew_spence1
i just worked them a few at a time with my fingers and closed the front a bit at a time to help them along i was also able to press some of the folds together from the outside and also the inside a few at a time and eventually they all fell into place its easy to do but it takes time
chuck_foreman1
Thanks .. MY project might be too far gone.. light tight but some (pleats) stiff paper or balsa form holders I would call them, have fallen out or threatening to ..
