Ricochetrider
An interesting new Richard Avedon exhibition opens this week in New York City. It’s not running for long but looks worthwhile. We are going to make a solid effort to go see this. Avedon 100 at Gagosian NYC Edited April 30, 2023 by Ricochetrider
samstevens
I've seen two Avedon exhibits, one at the Oakland Museum, about 35-40 years ago, and one at the Cantor Museum on the Stanford Campus. Both made me appreciate the print technique he employed and the scale helped convey the expressiveness he captured and conveyed. Oakland had his larger murals, and I believe he was present for and directed the installation. Stanford had his American West photos, much more impactful for me in person than what I'd seen in books. So, it's great you're making an effort to see it. Enjoy! 1 "You talkin' to me?"
httpwww.photo.netbarry
I saw the SF MOMA exhibit. I'm pretty positive you'll really enjoy it and even find it inspiring.
