Matt Laur
Note: Consider keeping uploads no larger than 1600 pixels on the long side when it matters, and sticking with 1000 pixels when the image feels no pain at that resolution. On data size/compression, try to keep things under 1mb, shooting for 600kb when you can stop there. Note that this includes photos hosted off-site (at Flickr, Photobucket, your own site, etc). New to this thread? The general guidelines for these Wednesday threads are right here: https://www.photo.net/forums/topic/398109-guidelines-for-nikon-forum-wednesday-image-threads. For now, we're sticking with 1, 2, or 3 images per week as you see fit. Spring is a favorite time of year for sure. Not counting the high pollen count we're having right now. And the swarms of gnats that have just hatched out. And now the sudden eruption of mosquitos. We finally gave in and have acquired on of those high voltage bug zappers, and sure 'nuff, it seems to be creating a very bad evening for the mosquitos. The best part is that most of the carcasses fall to the ground, and we've now got an army of tiny little ants hauling away the fried remains. Very efficient of you, nature! So: No, this isn't a background prop from a Star Wars set. But I hope the Force is strong in this one, as it relates to cutting down on the bloodthirsty little creatures involved. Shot on a whim with a Z6 and a Sigma 35/1.4 on got-it-right-on-the-first-try manual exposure and focus. Gotta love that NEF latitude! So share a photo or so, assuming you weren't up 'til midnight filing your taxes!
