There does not seem to be any other forum to post to . . .

This PowerShot G9 is an "Old Soldier" , has had a hard life before I got it , and has the battle scars to prove it , the ISO 400 setting does not work anymore , otherwise it works fine.

I have a bit of a soft spot for these camera's.

I've got a G9, I had a G10 but I prefer the older camera. The G10 had an exposure compensation knob on the top which was always getting accidentally knocked off its setting.  I've also owned a G2, a G3 and a G5. Here's one from the G10:

I have a G15 I bought in 2012 that I still use when traveling light (and as a backup for my EOS M5). It has given a good account of itself for close to 12,000 images thus far.

My first digital camera was a G3, bought in 2004, which I used extensively.

I bought it used in February 2004. The first owner paid 1300 $ (Canadian) in November 2002.

Really great lens. We travelled twice in Italy with it, and still enjoy the pictures.

I still have it, but, of course, don't use it anymore.

It was replaced by a Canon Xti in 2006, and a T6s in 2016.

I used the Canon G9 several years back. No complaints here, it was a fine serviceable camera with good image quality in a pocketable package. I carried it on a vacation to NYC some years back and got some good pictures.
