ann_mester
I'm hoping for a trip to Southern Spain in early June. I'm anticipating mostly bright sun and cloudless skies (but I could be wrong). I'm used to shooting Kodak Portra and NPS NPH films in both 35 and medium format for color, and I'm finding I like TMX and Tri-X for slow and 400 speed Black and White, respectively. (for me, TMY doesn't yield as good a result but that might be my inexperience). Can people recommend a good film for the time/place? I'm also toying with the idea of JUST taking my Mamiya 6 and leaving my 35 mm camera at home -- that way, rather than rolls and rolls of tourist shots that I could really just replicate with a good guide book I'll only shoot a couple of hopefully well-thought-out shots. juan_mateos
Hi, Ann. It is pretty sunny and hot here in Spain in summer ,especially in Andalucia. Film? Both 100 and 400 would be ok. If you´ve got a Mamiya 6 that would be perfect, and one or two lenses. If you travel with many equipment youll get tired very soon of carrying it. Just a piece of advice.: beware the thieves.,always keep an eye on your equipment. i dont want to alarm you but it is better if you´re aware of. It just happens in the biggest cities, mostly Sevilla. Enjoy your trip and I know you´ll find Andalucia wonderful

chris_patti1
Use the film that you are used to and like at home. The Mamiya 6 is perhaps the ideal travel camera. Ditch the 35mm.
