John Peri
How can one see someone’s Bio/Introduction/ Profile Status that used to appear on the front of one’s Profile Page? Thank you ..
John Peri
Well, 43 people appear to have read this and no one seems able to answer. Can someone responsible for the new administration kindly consider answering some of the unanswered questions. Thank you. 1
Sandy Vongries
If you click on your avatar, and Edit Profile, you get this screen and can enter info. Not certain where it will display.
John Peri
Many thanks Sandy. My problem is how to read other people's, which presumably is there for others to consult. As you know of course, it used to figure prominently on our Profile Page.
Sandy Vongries
Haven't seen or found one. It could be that entering info and saving it activates some function. I looked at a few folks, all empty. Next time you see the Invision Admin online, you could try a PM.
PapaTango
This information is documented from the permissions enabled for PN Pro members. Regular Members may find things different--as the backend permissions set between the levels are inconsistent and a mess. Go your Account Settings, and select 'Edit Profile' from the "Other Settings" block at the upper right. Then enter your chosen text into the |Edit Profile|Personal Information|About Me window. Click 'Save' down at the bottom when done. Your info will appear in a new middle tab on your profile page as shown below. Don't pay any attention or enter information in the 'Converted' block down at the bottom : Edited November 11, 2022 by PapaTango 1 "I See Things..." John Peri
Many thanks Papa Tango .. that's all about me .. but what I am looking for on someone else's page is "all about them". I may be wrong, but it appears to me that there is only an audience of one for a moment, ourself.
PapaTango
@John Peri Attached is a screen capture taken in an alternate browser (Edge) which is clear of cookies or session information. As you can see, I am not logged in and am viewing your profile as a guest (IP number is different as well). My best guess is that virtually none of us are putting information into this profile block--or may have been distracted by existing information--and may have entered the info in the "Converted" fields. The latter do absolutely nothing... Edited November 11, 2022 by PapaTango "I See Things..." The FotoFora Community Experience [Link] A new community for creative photographers. Come join us! Sandy Vongries
I have randomly visited a dozen or so members, because of Moderator status, I can look at, or for that matter, Edit their profile. Access to the Edit function lets me open and look. Ex. John's all I have visited are empty, including my own which did have some content in the previous version. PapaTango
As an added note, NOTHING was converted to the new platform that is under the "Converted" section of the Profile manager. Either it should be made to go away, or used. Another example of extraneous material (such as blogs, events, store, et cetera) that are not being used, and with a few simple clicks could be made to go away. 1 "I See Things..."
