bob_passage
I have obtained a 5x7 Linhof Tech III. My 90mm lens from a 4x5 camera covers well, however, there is a quandary. At infinity the front lens standard rests in the "no-mans-land" between the main housing and the extension rails. I can make a photograph, but the lens standard sits precariously with little support and the front bed cannot be dropped. I appologize for the poor discription, however if anyone has a solution, it would be appreciated. Thanks for the help.
eugene_singer
Bob, try using a recessed lensboard and a cable release flexible extender. That should solve the problem.
matthew_brain
Just for starts to get an image on film you could try focussing with the camera back, keeping the front standard inside the body. There is an online shop selling a rare 5x7 Linhof Wide angle focussing attachment at the moment too. Matt
scott_marshall1
Hi ,I have a 5x7 linhof tech III and use a 90mm super angulon in a coned extension panel, i.e. opposite of a recessed wide angle panel, to focus I slide the lens standard in and out on the body focus track by hand. If you use a 90mm alot, later 5x7 techs have a body track focus knob I think, but 5x7 Tech threes are cheap and nice!
