Matt Laur Posted July 8, 2020 Posted July 8, 2020 Important: please keep your image under 1000 pixels on the longest side for in-line viewing, and please keep the FILE SIZE UNDER 300kb. Note that this includes photos hosted off-site (at Flickr, Photobucket, your own site, etc). Are you new to this thread? The general guidelines for these Wednesday threads are right here:http://www.photo.net/nikon-camera-forum/00W7km. This forum's moderators are allowing up to three Nikon Wednesday images per week, so share some work! I know that large crowd issues are enough to tamp down many of us from doing the annual fireworks photos just now ... but hopefully this Nikon Wednesday will bring us a few. For our part, we spent an hour in the Pentagon parking lot watching the military flyover at dusk. Lots of different vintage aircraft between us and the setting sun, culminating with the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels flying in tandem across the Potomac and over the crowd before the fireworks started. It was fun hanging out with a bunch of active duty military aviation buffs and their families seeing far more than the three shots I post here. Anyone else? Let's see some photos! 5

Sanford Posted July 8, 2020 Posted July 8, 2020 Hundreds of Sea Lions left the Monterey Coast Guard Pier several week ago apparently all on the same day. I'm so far behind with post processing I will posting their photos for a while yet. Nikon D300, 18-200mm Nikkor Zoom. 5

Matthew Currie Posted July 8, 2020 Posted July 8, 2020 As usual, mostly hanging around the house and going to the nearby lake for some swimming. And as usual, mostly hunting dragonflies. Here's one picturesquely perching on the stairs down to the water. 3
Matthew Currie Posted July 8, 2020 Posted July 8, 2020 After watching a Steve Perry video, I decided to try a monopod gimbal (not to buy one, of course, but to make one), and found it worked pretty well. Here's a dragonfly shot at 500 mm. 5
Matthew Currie Posted July 8, 2020 Posted July 8, 2020 And here's just a little pot of flowers in Brandon. 4
