Welcome to the Hamburger Stand California.

18556783-orig.jpg

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair

Warm smell of cheese burgers, rising up through the air

Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light

My stomach growl was heavy and my sight grew dim

I had to stop for for a bite.

There she stood in the drive thru;

I heard the dinner bell

And I was thinking to myself

'This could be heaven or this could be Hell'

Then she showed me the menu and she showed me three burger ways

There were voices in the drive thru,

I thought I heard them say

Welcome to the Hamburger Stand California

Such a lovely place (such a lovely place)

Such a lovely place.

Plenty of food at the Hamburger Stand California

Any time of year (any time of year) you can find it here

The fries are-twisted, the burger is no blend.

She got a lot of pretty, pretty cheese, this burger's the end.

How they munch in the courtyard, sweet muchies I get

Some munch and remember, some much and never forget

So I called up the waiter,

'Please bring me my wine'

He said, 'we haven't had that spirit here since nineteen sixty-nine'

And still those voices are calling from far away,

Wake you up in the middle of the night

Just to hear them say"

Welcome to the Hamburger Stand California

Such a lovely place (such a lovely place)

I really like a bit of context to the photos. I'm always curios to what is behind each photo every week. Nice job @Mark Keefer

We're looking at becoming expats. So I think this weeks photo is rather suiting for our mood at the moment.

Sorry I didn't add context to mine! Here goes:

#1: looking east out my window, incoming planes heading to Chicago's O'Hare airport, about 15 miles to the west. 30 second exposure

#2: just to the north of that was lightning in a bank of clouds. I couldn't hear thunder. I'm kicking myself for not getting a longer lens and concentrate on that since that was going on for a while. That was a 10 second exposure.

#3: focus stacking. I should have used a fill light. Tomatoes from my brother's garden.

Before taking photos of the incoming planes, I was taking pictures of a spider which had made a web outside the window. That was when I noticed the airplanes!

I do take that camera outside from time to time!1423757021_spiderweb.thumb.jpg.8a57ad1fe7356a9652cfd0d3defa54e8.jpg
