This forum's moderators are allowing up to three Nikon Wednesday images per week, so share some work! Thanks to Shun for launching Nikon Wednesday last week - it was one of those wearing-my-other-hat weeks when this just was NOT going to happen! Happily, I had a chance for a little recreation over the weekend, and visited Horton Vineyards in the hills outside Charlottesville, Virginia - the very sort of terrain on which Thomas Jefferson failed to ever grow a good French grape and make a bottle he really liked. The state's winemakers have come a long way since. Here, I was wandering the vineyard's rows of Mtsvane Kakhuri, which is a Georgian (not that Georgia, the other Georgia) variety that makes an interesting white table wine. The grapes were just getting under way, but come September, there will be some juicy harvesting to do. One of the staff was also out taking a high-noon iPhone snapshot of a new bottling out in front of their nouveau chateau. I couldn't change the hard light, but I could at least help with a better snapshot. So, cheers (or any other drinking salutation), and let's see some photos! 5

Nickens Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Walking around a local town when I found this in an alley, A store owner said he'd been there for over thirty years and it had been when he moved in. Tried to clean it up in Photoshop, Amazing what you find when you just walk around places. 3
