robert_jenkins
I am a hobbyist looking for a good digital camera under $500. I will be taking family photos both indoors and out and some nature photography. I want a camera that is relatively easy to use (no cryptic menus) but will allow me to get more technical than a point and shoot. I am looking at these two models. Are these good choices? Which is better? Are there better choices in my price range? Thanks for any help.
bleda_han
You should take a look at this review of the Fuji - positive: http://www.steves-digicams.com/2002_reviews/fuji_3800.html Cheers

al_safonov
I have owned a 3800 for a little over a year. I am a complete amateur in photography, and also very lazy, so I never learned the manual mode of this camera. In the automatic mode, it is pretty good outdoors, but poor flash and slow shutter speed make it pretty useless indoors.
