mark_stephan2
I just checked my new cameras firmware and it is C1.01. The newest firmware update updates the camera to C1.03. Do I need to find and install C1.02 before downloading and installing the latest update?
Gary Naka
Check the instructions for the D600 firmware update. I just did a firmware upgrade on my D7200 and I skipped the in-between versions. If there is a requirement to do an intermediate update it will be in the instructions.
rodeo_joe1
I think the firmware updates are complete in themselves, not incremental. If there's any incompatibility the self-checking software should refuse to apply the update.
heimbrandt
Yes, you can safely skip the C1.02 before installing C1.03. It will also add the features from C1.02.
mike_halliwell
Have a little butchers on line to see if the Firmware 'upgrade' cripples the AF on any of your non-Nikon lenses.
ben_hutcherson
I did both my D600 and D800 not too long ago-I had to so that I could get AF on my 10-20 AF-P. I jumped right to 1.03 from 1.01 on the D600 with no issue...aside from the fact that the camera initially didn't like that my battery wasn't charged all the way. For good reason, Nikon doesn't want to run the chance of the camera shutting off mid-update, since THAT could brick the camera.
mark_stephan2
Thanks for your comments. After reading your posts I updated my D600 and it was very easy.
