You are invited to upload one or more of your landscape photos and, if you’d like, to accompany your image with some commentary: challenges you faced in making the image? your intent for the image? settings? post-processing decisions? why you did what you did? the place and time? or an aspect you’d like feedback on? And please feel free to ask questions of others who have posted images or to join the discussion. If you don’t feel like using words, that’s OK too—unaccompanied images (or unaccompanied words, for that matter) are also very much welcomed. As for the technicalities, the usual forum guidelines apply: files < 1 MB; image size <1000 px maximum dimension.

I'd been planning to dig deeper into the abstract landscape idea, but got sidetracked back to the non-abstract by a beautiful (but rainy) day at Patrick's Point State Park with two photographer friends. I came back the next day when the weather had improved, but my choice of lenses hadn't--all I'd brought along was a 60mm macro, so this is actually a 3-frame panorama.

I was driving east of Rexburg, Idaho, when I spotted this developing thunderstorm approaching. I needed to drive a few miles out of my way to find a suitable foreground without obscuring houses and buildings. The thunderstorm was quite intense when I drove through it. 1557859177_developingthunderstorm2s.thumb.jpg.7e9746070536f849c88b0265d5e67b1a.jpg . Edited by Glenn McCreery
