wadepunch
Starting a new thread here because the forum interpreted my last excited remarks as spam or whatever, so I will try again to post my remarks >> Unbelievable! I went to the link and ... That was the issue! I still can hardly believe it. The plug appeared to be pushed in all the way, and there was no sound from the Rode mic. Pushing and holding more pressure created sound in the Rode mic, and there was no second click, BUT what the hey, pushing reallllly harder, it did in fact go in a fraction more with a SECOND click and it works all the time now! Wow, thank you so much, Mark, for finding this!I was going to send the body to Canon tomorrow. What's crazy is, the same size identical jack below the mic jack is for headphones, it does NOT require/have that second hard click, it just goes in once and works. With further testing several times plugging in and out, the mic jack does NOT have a second click, but it is firmly in, and working. Go figure. Hey Mark, thank you again~!
