kyle_burt
With just over three (frustrating) weeks until the PMA I thought I'd post this question to pass the time. I was wodering how everyone might rank the following wishes for the expected D60 replacement. 1) Upgraded body (including AF & metering) to Eos 3 based 2) Increased sensor area 3) More pixels 4) Reduced price. If you have other wishes add them, but keep things somewhat realistic. Please keep this to what you would like to see - let's not have more speculation about what Canon is planning. It will be interesting to compare the responses to the announced product(s) to see how well Canon did their market research. Another thing to ponder might be technologies that we'd like to see 3 or 4 years down the line (how about built-in wireless communication with our computers to rid us of CF cards). burachan40
How about in this order: 1 then 4 and reduce the noise at high ISO and or extend the ISO higher to allow more ambient light, indoor photography.
walter_strong3
How about if it just works as advertised? Now THAT would be some real progress!
greg_masuda
1. Spotmeter. 2. Better low light autofocus. 3. Higher ISO (1600 at least). 4. Bigger sensor area. ...but I don't need the extra resolution. Greg
a_ego
My wishlist: 1) Reduced price ($1000-$1500 according to features) 2) low light autofocus (EV -1 to 20) 3)Higher ISO (min 1250) 4)slightly increased sensor --> that is: less cropping factor (between 1.2x - 1.5x) Talking about marketing: If they do proceed to these more or less commonly wished modifications, after the 1Ds exploit, they will have got also the most rapidly growing photography market of the newcomers in digital... (and so they may amortize their costs by adding all the above features, while they are going also to give a very strong push to their lenses market)
PuppyDigs
Built-in stopwatch, MP3 player, compass, cigarette lighter, solar panel for trickle charging, and removable film back for when your micro drive fills up or you wanta rough it. Sometimes the light’s all shining on me. Other times I can barely see. - Robert Hunter
d._tamron
Here's a good one, make it good enough to last, and don't replace it with a brand new $2000 camera that makes the previous one obselete.
gil_batzri
Having a D30, I have several gripes and desires in the prosumer line(and no budget for a 1D)

Better AF
Better AF
Better AF

I use mine for sports primarily, so my only other complaint is the "Motor Drive" I would like to see 8FPS up from 3.5. I actually like the focus multiplier (more lens reach for the buck). The B-side of all this is I have seen 1D bodies new on ebay for as little as $1800(!) so I think Canon is about to add something to the line in the way of replacing that camera, but as I see it now the 1D is much better for that money then a D60 (resolution aside, the AF and other features are MUCH nicer, plus Firewire beats USB)
just my 2 pennies,
