Matt Laur
Important: please keep your image under 1000 pixels on the longest side for in-line viewing, and please keep the FILE SIZE UNDER 300kb. Note that this includes photos hosted off-site (at Flickr, Photobucket, your own site, etc). Are you new to this thread? The general guidelines for these Wednesday threads are right here:http://www.photo.net/nikon-camera-forum/00W7km. This forum's moderators are allowing up to three Nikon Wednesday images per week, so share some work! While we do have an international audience here at Nikon Wednesday, it's fair to say most contributions come from US members. So I fully expect some quality Independence Day fireworks photos. Or perhaps some fireworks from around the world? Or anything you like, of course. We decided, this 4th, to stay home and avoid the transportation/parking fuss of a large display - and thus amused ourselves with some modest little fountains and a bit of long-exposure shenanigans. Share some photos! Shot these with a D810 and a 16-35/4. Used that less expensive (than my beloved 12-24/2.8) wide zoom because I could mount a filter and feel less risk in case some of the flaming debris happened to come at the camera.

rodeo_joe1
No fireworks here, since we're more than 600 miles from N.Korea. Just a Grayling butterfly. Not the most colourful of lepidoptera, but fairly uncommon in recent years.
