remi_coignard_friedman
Hi everyone, I am looking for replacing a dead motor winder by a base plate but I asked to Leica Usa and it cost too much. How could I do? is anybody has a dead motor to sell? Or a base plate? Thanks.
alec1
Uh, if you've got one dead motor, why would you want another? Is there some magic when they get together?
harry_soletsky1
Join LHSA and get their sale catalog. Baseplates are always for sale. I don't know whether they would be called cheap but perhaps a bady scuffed one will do it.
Rob F.
Remi, is there a reason why the dead winder couldn't stay on the camera when the camera is wound by the manual advance lever? Also: have you checked into whether the winder can be repaired at a reasonable cost? Probably you should check with Sherry Krauter, or DAG, rather than with Leica, on that point, if economy is a goal. Finally, baseplates are sometimes advertised on ebay.
