michael.M Posted April 18, 2017 Share Posted April 18, 2017 I recently dropped my nikon 12-24 mm lens and the autopsy showed a broken rear fixed ring (part no 1K631-422). It is the ring that sits on top of the silent wave motor unit. Looking through the net I noticed that a few members may have had similar problems and I am looking for some guidance as to where I could find the part. It was repaired by NCSS in Amsterdam quickly in 2011. Concluding.. I cannot really help you! Having the lens repaired was worthwhile - it is a good thing.
