Lens review on the Zeiss 16-35 F2.8

<p>This lens in just coming onto the market and I've only had a chance to shoot one assignment with it. It's too early to have an opinion on how good it is yet... but I will keep it in the bag and add photos as I get them.<br>

These photos are of a political nature..... I was covering the event on assignment.... I hope they don't offend you.<br>

I'll post one from each side of the Protest to keep things fair.</p><div></div>

<p>This is the second image. Taken at 400 ISO, F4 on the A900. AWB The lens was set to 22mm.<br>

The first image had the lens set to 18mm.</p>

<p>Quality appears to be excellent. The A900's normal IQ parameters did admirably. Would appreciate being able to see at full resolution.</p>

<p>I just started with the lens. I was using a 20mm F2.8 or 35mm F1.4 before. I also have the 16mm Fisheye but you can't compare a fisheye 16 to a wideangle 16.<br>

The lens is going to sell for $1999 Canadian when it does come out.<br>

It seems to be a great lens.... I'm happy with the sharpness and colour. It seems very good for taking photos.... not sure how it fairs in testing..... to me photographs are more important than tests anyway.</p>

Thanks for your photos! Looks very good:) What is your experience with distortion and corner sharpness at 16mm? I`m thinking of changing from Canon 5D to alpha 900, but need to know a bit more about their lens range.<br>
