i know that its easy to find a screw mount to maxxum mount, but i was wondering

if its possible to find the reverse of that. i am hoping to mount some maxxum

mount lenses to the front of my vivitar bellows for some "not normal" macro

functions.

does anyone know where i could find one if one exists? i google for it but all i find

is the standard maxxum t-mounts and i want to find the reverse of that.

thanks in advance!

If it is on a bellow for greater than 1:1 magnification, mounting the lens in reverse is actually better and easier as Richard sugested. If not, you can try make your own. You can find the parts you need via spare reverse mount adapters and extension tubes.

No.

It is all about film to flange distance. Have a look at:

http://www.markerink.org/WJM/HTML/mounts.htm

for more info on lens registration.

Adapters - without glass elements - are only possible to adapt lenses for larger registration distance systems to cameras with smaller registration.

Such an adapter simply fills the gap. That is the case with screw-to-MD or -Maxxum adapters. The other way around would require image-degrading optics or it would restrict you to macro, or loss of infinity focus.

cheers, Rob.
