d.
I swear I searched everywhere but my question was not out there that I could see (though I have learned alot about astrophotography) My fiance bought me some accessories to allow me to mount my f5 to a telescope. He purchased the variable projection camera adapter (l.25"), the t-adapter and the t-mount. But there seems to be something missing. I can't make everything jibe to make it work. Any suggestion on what I seem to be lacking? I am beginning to think that I just don't know what I am doing (ya think?). Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance! craig_bridge
Do you have a Nikon-F bayonet to t-mount adapter? Not sure that Meade sells any camera body specific adapters and you may have to get it mail order from places like B&H if your local Nikon camera store doesn't stock them. BEWARE: Hanging an F5 body off a Telescope with tracking motors requires a counter balance weight so you don't over torque the motors.
alex_lofquist
Check with Adorama. They have an astronomy dept. I would agree that an F5 is a bit heavy to hang on a telescope. The simplest, non-electronic body would be more practical, and it does not have to be Nikon. Alex
seandepuydt
OM-1 is considered, by some, to be a good camera for Astrophotograhy.
