UK Snow (?!): Photos...

Well, it was certainly a shock to me anyway, but to see snow in the midlands in

mid November seemed odd to me! Seeing that it didnt hit us last year properly

until the end of February... which was when it was quite extreme (I was

isolated for 3 days).<p>Anyway, it didnt last long here, though there is bound

to be more on the way. I thought this thread would be a good opertunity for

people to share their snow photos! Weather its from the recent snow in England

or not, there isn't much photo sharing amongst Minolta/Sony photo.net forum

hehe Im suprised you didnt get any there. Non-the-less its all long gone now. Nothing to show of it but a biting wind. There really wasnt much at all, I was just suprised at home quickly it has come around this year. Feel free to share any seasonal photos though!

I am based in the west midlands and it was snowing when I went to bed. All gone in the morning though, Sharing snow photos is going to have to wait a bit.

My favourite place for taking pictures of snow scenes is the Les trois vallees, 'cause it means I'm skiing with the family. Now that is an activity that beats photography; you argue amongst yourselves.

My other half's just been in town taking "seasonal" photos.... BAH. CHRISTMAS photos with the 10d. I'm going to head that way this weekend and park myself somewhere with the X-700s, a thermos and a few rolls of Tri-X I think.

I cant agree more! I have 40 quid left in my bank after xmas shopping :S. Damn. And I'm meant to be photographing my colleges xmas ball for which I have no standard lens! Agh, I need to find some funds quite quickly... seems a sale is on :/.

It was taken some years back on Kodachrome 64 with the X-700 and MD 35-70, when the term "digital" had yet to be applied to cameras.

The fellow in the shot was a Delta captain who I met on the mountain that day.

<p>

Have to dig into the past for snow because we're pretty dry here right now.
