vincenzo_maielli
Hi, dear friends. Have you experience about compatibility or incompatibility between the Sony/Minolta A lens mount and the M42 adapter mount, sold by Fotodiox USA? I own the russian MIR 20 mm f/ 3,5 and Jupiter-9 85 mm f/ 2, the DDR Flektogon 35 mm f/ 2,8 MC Electric, the Asahi Pentax SMC Takumar 50 mm f/ 1,4 and Super Takumar 135 mm f/ 2,5 and the M42 Tamron Adaptall-2 used with the Tamron SP 90 mm f/ 2,5 and the Tamron SP 70-210 mm f/ 3,5. I know perfectly that the original Sony/Minolta lenses are more and more easy to use, but i also don't want abandone my old M42 lenses. Thanks to all. ricardovaste
All M42 & AD2 lenses can be mounted & maintain infinity focus on a Minolta/Sony A mount via widely available adapters. You should have just tried a simple search on google really.

Not exactly right as for the M42 to Alpha adapter, there are (is) version(s) which are done incorrectly. Those will not achieve infinity focus. I have no experience with Fotodiox M42-Alpha adapter but did purchased a number of items from them, They seems Ok with returns and have had newer stuff then other. If I have to take a shot in the dark, I would go with them then random ebay.
jamesdak
I had a Haoda AF Confirm adapter for my KM 7D that worked just fine with my Pentax SMC Takumar 50/1.4. It did give me infinity focus.
vincenzo_maielli
Thanks to all, particularly to Jim. I hope that Sony will present a Full Frame DSLR in the next future. Ciao.
matt_ruffino
I hear the adapters work fine, but the lenses must be the ones without the stop down pin. This is because the adapters have no tab to hold the pin in the stopped down position
