peter_cooper
I have a Minolta XK. The meter flashed red at the bottom of the scale and when I fire the shutter it locks the mirror up. I am not sure if its the main body or finder that's at fault. Does anyone know where I can have it repaired in the UK, or is a simple task of taking the finder apart and unsticking the needle as it will not move? rokkor fan
I sounds to me like a dead metering cell Peter. I would suggest using a competent repairer.
guy_mansford
The best repairers for minolta manual stock in UK is http://www.lehmannsdirect.co.uk/mainindex.asp I think they charge £50 to repair and service, with the obvious proviso that with no spare parts in stock, they may not be able to mend it! I've bought a couple of old tatty bodies off ebay that I send for them to use as salvage parts - just an idea.
