<p>@Charles, yes, the Air Plane mode is in the WiFi setting. It will save some battery when it is set to be On, default is Off. I have to remember to turn it back to Off when I want to use the Smart Remote App or 'Send pictures through WiFi' that needs this Air Plane mode to be off.</p>

<p>I was out skiing over the weekend and I brought three lenses with A6000 with the Sony 16-50 kit zoom, Voiglander 40mm f/1.4 and Sigma 60mm f/2.8 along with my Sony action camera with HDR-AS100VR. I end up shooting still and video with mostly the action camera but I did use the Sony A6000 with Voiglander 40mm for a few snapshots -- it is one of the Leica M mount that is really tiny like the FA 43mm limited. Bokeh and color is outstanding on this prime. I don't shy away from bringing the kit zoom as its compact size fits my bag for small and lighter gear in field use.</p>

<p>This LowePro Event Messenger 100 bag fits NEX 5N perfectly but it still works quite good for the A6000. I can fit in 2 separate lenses and one body mounted with 3rd lens and with plenty spaces and pocket for accessories. It is a tiny bag that none of my Pentax film and digital bodies can fit in. <br /><br /><br />Next to the bag is a small m42 lens with Super-Takumar 28mm f/3.5 mounted on a Zhongyi Lens Turbo v1 that works to offset the crop factor with 0.71 factor and this adapter adds about 1 stop of light at the expense of lesser corner sharpness, someone claim the center to be sharper. You can read up on the adapter, I like the view on my 35mm or 28mm when I use them with a lens turbo adapter. The lens turbo has its flaws. The v1 has a bug when I shoot into a strong light source, there is a occasional showing of purple flare coming off from sensor reflection likely triggered with the lens element added by the Lens Turbo adapter. Other than that, it is a nice gadget for aps-c use. The other costlier adapter is the Speed-booster from Metabones.</p>

<p>Not a great photo but I found this when I look for my bag photo. It was shot with Super-Takumar 50mm f/4.0 macro which is 1:2 close up magnification.</p>

<p>It is one of those things when I have a smaller and lighter camera, I tend to enjoy more in bringing it out for shooting. I even carry my A6000 with kit zoom on occasion with a<em><strong> Crumpler 2 million bag</strong></em>. My favorite 1-lens to bring are as follows:</p>

<ul>

<li>kit zoom 16-50 for traveling and compact size</li>

<li>voiglander 40mm f/1.4 or Fujian 35mm f/1.7 -- night time, indoor, bokeh and art seeking</li>

<li>Sigma 30mm f/2.8 or 19mm f/2.8 -- snapshot with good sharpness, will use the 19mm for wider view. In general, I pick the 30mm more</li>

<li>Sony E 50mm f/1.8 or Sigma 60mm f/2.8 -- for portraits and street tele shooting, will pick the E 50mm for night time shooting over Sigma</li>

<p>Shot with Pentax Auto 110 70mm f/2.8 wide open with NEX 5N. The Pentax Auto 110 to Sony E adapter will only shoot the lens wide open, I did build several disc blades with an aperture opening mimicking f/5.6 and f/8.0 shooting. It is a chore to change aperture and hence I still use them as 'specialty fun lens' on occasions for a nostalgic shooting especially at night when wide-open is what I would have used hand-held. </p>

<p>And the Pentax Auto 110 Pan focus 18mm f/2.8 has no manual focus ring as it snaps everything into focus from 6 ft to infinity, a great tool on street shooting where I can focus on framing.</p>

<p>The 5N is a smaller camera than the A6000. Instead of getting a 1 inch sensor camera, I am keeping my 5N and use smaller lenses like the 16-50 kit zoom, sigma 30 and 19, along with manual compact lenses such as my Voiglander 40mm f/1.4 or Fujian 35mm f/1.7. The combo can't beat the size of a Sony Rx100 IV or Panasonic LX100 but it is smaller than any dSLR that I have used. One of my most favorite Pentax is the Kx but the size can't match the 5N with a small lens. I have these comparisons pictures of K-01 and Sony 5N before. </p>

When the 1" sensor camera get closer to < $400, I may consider it but until then, I am using the 5N for those moments that smaller size is better suited on 5N.</p>

Both were taken with Voiglander 40mm f/1.4 and A6000. A nice combo for small and compact size similar to FA 43mm f/1.9. The Voiglander has great character wide open and when paired with a $35 Helicoil adapter for better close up, it is well rounded manual focus lens that is UNLIKE any bigger dSLR lenses.</p>

This small combo with NEX 5N and 16-50 pancake kit zoom happen to be my most used combination even though I have my A6000 with me. I use the A6000 with a fast prime in Voiglander 20mm f/1.8 for other 1-lens outing in Mammoth Lakes visit last week.</p>

<p>The voiglander 20mm f/1.8 is a beauty and have great image quality on both FF and aps-c. It can be too wide for me in street shooting with FF but a great beauty in A6000. One drawback is on the heavier weight and heft but least complaint from me as image quality goes. I use the kit zoom instead of this fast prime as the kit zoom get me versatility while not dragging on weight in both hiking and skiing excursion on snow in spring with slippery surface on ski run or off track hiking excursion.</p>

Your work shows that this Sony family is more than up to the task of capturing a great image.  So far, it has been serving me well with the two kit lenses (16-50 and 55-210), I'll leave the primes to my K-3 kit.  I shoot in raw and process in ACR, and I have yet to feel these lenses are letting me down.<br>

<p>Love it when the cheapest gear delivers. Please be open to LBA as a prime will certainly challenge the K-3, I think. Love your b&w picture and I think the last picture has potential to try b&w conversion. The up-coming <a href="http://www.newsshooter.com/2016/03/02/cp-2016-hands-on-with-the-sigma-30mm-f1-4-dc-dn-sony-e-mount-lens/">Sigma 30mm f/1.4 E mount </a>is intriguing for APS-C usage as the price is set reasonably at $340 at introduction.</p>
