Remote Shutter RS 60E3 problem

<p>Hi,<br>

I have purchased Canon Remote Shutter RS 60E3.I have Canon 1200D.<br>

I am facing some issues as :<br>

1) When connected it starts auto focussing without any button press.<br>

2) When camera set to bulb mode, it starts timer without even locking.<br>

3) When a photo is clicked cannot preview the photo, have to disconnect the remote.<br>

Are there any settings to be changed or the product is defective?<br>

<p>Check to see if you have the shutter button on the remote in its locked-down position. Try pushing that button down and moving it; if it pops up, you are then off the locked position and your problems should go away. If not, it may be defective or damaged.</p>

<p>Also confirm if the plug connector is fully inserted into the jack on the camera: This kind of connector is prone to this kind of problems when it isn't completly inserted.<br>

Additionally, remember to only insert and remove the connector when the camera is turned off, as the displacement of the plug into the jack may also trigger the camera.</p>
