david_smith110
Here is an interesting lens at a great price point. I want to see some actual artists use this so I can judge the results, but this might find its way into my bag. Don't get me wrong, my FL 55/1.2 will probably out perform this SLR lens but who knows. I can easily see this lens getting more people to try out manual focus due to so much speed at so little cost. And there is the added bonus of not needing an adapter.

http://www.sonyalpharumors.com/newly-announced-slr-magic-50mm-f1-1-fe-lens-now-available-for-preorder-at-bh/

Anyone out there in Sony land interested in this?
Ed_Ingold
An f/1.1 lens with a $350 price point? I wouldn't expect much from it. The Canon 0.95 lens in the early 60's was a product of the aperture wars. The image quality was lousy at any speed, but it was a huge eyeball in the ads.
