Canon FDn 300/4.0L + Canon FD 2x-A Tele-Extender

First time in 38 years (since 1977) that the Full Moon has coincided with Christmas day.
Didn’t look like I was even going to be able to see the moon much less shoot it with all our days of constant rain & heavy clouds / overcast.
But at 7:00pm tonight, I noticed the rain tapering off, the overcast separated, and to my complete surprise the moon appeared in the opening right overhead.
I was able to run out, set up and shoot it from my driveway...won’t happen again in my lifetime.

A few from a pair of new (to me) old classics: black & whites are Ilford 400 in a black Canon RM, the color is Ektar 100 in a super-cherry black Canonflex RP with black-breechlocked Super Canomatic R 50/1.8...

A black Canonflex RP. Not bad! Chrome Canonflex's are unusual, but black ones are rare, especially with a black-breechmount lens. I have a RP and an original Canonflex. Beautiful, no-nonsense cameras. I still enjoy using them.

Jim, a quick shot of my rare black-bodied Canons: the RM, the RP with black-breeched Super Canomatic, and a VI-T rangefinder with black 50/1.2, black meter and accessory grip. All of 'em are fully functional, which is more than I can say for the iMac after this morning's El Crapitan "upgrade".
How naïve were camera makers to build gear of such longevity? But I really appreciate their proud dedication to QUALITY CRAFTSMANSHIP.

00dea2-559919084.jpg.8fc34652c8bc6f69d3cc8f0ad71572c1.jpg
