jcmexico2000
Hi everyone, I been waiting for Nikon to start their annual rebate program for lenses for 2016., Id like to buy a Nikon 85mm 1.4 g lens but the regular price is to high for me. Do you have any idea when and if this rebates are going to take place this year? Thanks.
ShunCheung
Nikon's fiscal year ends on March 31. Therefore, in the last few years, there used to be rebates for February and then renewed for March. However, nothing has happened this year so far. Recently the Japanese yen has appreciated a bit against the US$, which may have some effect such that Nikon is either stopping the rebate or shortening the period. In any case, if any rebate is announced, Adorama, B&H will sure let us know. I am getting daily spam e-mail from B&H. :-) Otherwise in Europe and Canada, Nikon prices seem to have increased due to exchange rate fluctuations. The Canadian $ was even against the US$ three years ago; currently it is more like $1US = $1.4 Canadian. With the D5 and D500 shipping in a month or two, and most likely the D810 will have a major upgrade in the latter half, 2016 can be a big year for Nikon.
