Linhof lensboard for Compur shutter

Need suggestions from the experts here. I have a lens with a Synchro-Compur shutter on a recessed board. Now the Cable Release Socket is missing which makes it very difficult to shoot without shaking the camera.

I had been searching on ebay for one recessed board with the socket but no luck till now.

Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance.

Meh. The shutter socket on the Compur itself seems to be intact. It's just the Rube Goldberg socket on the Linhof board that's missing.

So the simplest solution is just to get a cable release adapter, like this one or this one. Something like that anyway-- any of the big camera retailers will have several to choose from, or you could look on ebay. They come in different flavors-- flexible, or L-shaped, or U-shaped. It's hard to recommend a specific one, because I can't tell how much clearance you have in that recessed board.

I'm surprised you need a recessed board for a 135. Does the bellows bind when you use a flat board? If you don't need the recessed board, that's the other solution. You can get a flat Linhof or Linhof-compatible board on the auction site quite inexpensively. (FWIW, thirty years ago I used to have a 135 Xenar on my Linhof and it worked OK with a flat board, but I didn't use any movements with that lens. I don't recall any problems, anyway.)

A L or U shaped adapter won't work. A short, flexible one like the Gepe will work. Other, short types, will, not work.

Replacing the,QR Cable Release Socket system will work best. If your lens is crammed then the Infinity Stops are positioned for use on that board or the current version of it.
