I used to buy Wess (500 Series) but noone seems to carry these anymore. I was told by one retailer that Wess has gone out of business. Gepe has 2 full frame mounts but they both come with glass. I'd appreciate if anybody knows of any retailer that has Wess in stock or of another brand that has a full frame *glasless* model. Thanks, Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I mount in Gepe glassless mounts for 24x36 and I know they have them in both 2 and 3 mm thickness (the thinner the better for scanning I've heard.) alex_lofquist Posted January 21, 2003 Share Posted January 21, 2003 I haven't been able to access the Wess Plastics site,as I would like to get some true full-frame masks too. Erie Color Slide Club (http://www.erie.net/~colorsld) has masks of special shapes and sizes in both round and square corners. One mask size (35mm X 23mm) is slightly larger than the commercial mount (34mm X 22.5mm), but I haven't seen any glassless mount for full frame (24mm X 36mm) anywhere. It's mentioned in the product news section of their web site. It looks like it may have been announced in the last Photokina. I don't know if it's available in Europe yet. tolga_yurek Posted January 28, 2003 Author Share Posted January 28, 2003 Actually, further searches revealed that Gepe in facthad the glassless version of 6012 and 6013 under themodel number 7038 (2mm thick) available as an "industrialpack" (in quantities of 1000) since at least as far backas 2001. Unfortunately, it is not available in the US.I'm trying to find out if some European (mostly German)dealers would ship it to the US. gary_evans1 Posted February 15, 2004 Share Posted February 15, 2004 Hi Ya I have 4.500 Glasless mounts for sale (UK)and are keen to get rid of them,I was going to put them on E-Bay and i came across your request,please let me know by Tuesday 17th Feb as this would be my cut off date,If you are genuinely interested I will send a sample to see if they are what you are after,I have a jpg that i can send. The mounts are white on the front Grey on the back Glasless and have a gap for you to slide the cut frame into,as to how much cut off there is (I don't think there is any that you would/could measure.
