michael_mcblane
I have recently purchased a Metrolux II timer for my Zone VI VC enlarger that I'm finally setting up. However when in the calibration mode for the Lux 1 or 2 and the unit is calibrating for the two minutes, does that information stay in the system or whenever you shut it off or the power goes off does it need to be done again. The directions weren't specific. Also if you use the MetroluxII with the Zone VI VC head and you are testing to print, what is the usual or correct setting that you put the VC brightness switch at. And do you generally just leave it alone and adjust the time or do you also adjust the brightness as well. I'm not sure ir the brightness switch is even necessary when using the timer. Perhaps just set at around six and leave it. Thanks in advance.
andy-
The Metrolux saves the calibration value, so when you shut it down it's still there when you power it back up. You can also write down the calibration value and punch it in manually if you need or want to. I can't help you much with the question about the Zone VI light but the Metrolux manual says that calibration values below 10 may not work well, so you should probably set the brightness so that it gives you a calibration value above this figure. The display shows the calibration value during the calibration procedure or when you later enter calibration mode. Hope this helps.
