rick_plambeck
Hi I recently purchased a 45-90 pe Bronica lens for my etrs-i. I would like to know at what shutter speed do you safely use for handheld shots? The weight of the lens makes me seem to think that it might be hard to hold steady. Of course I realize this will differ with the individual so I am just looking for a rough idea for nonflash shots. Thanks Rick
al_kaplan1
1/60 should be safe. You can probably do 1/30.
kevin_kolosky
I have successfully handheld my hasselblad with 150 lens at 1/4 second many times. but I have a specific procedure for doing so. I hold my arms in close to my body and I have a strap on the camera and around my neck that I pull tight against. works well.
blueform
In general , if your shooting weddings , standard lens , 1/250 sec , with flash 1/60. With the zoom , 1/60 at the short end , 1/250 long. Mid range , 65-75 1/125 , really depends on your tecnique and ability ? Why not carry out your own test`s. Take a look at the test chart on my pages.
