jon_patrick
I apologize for not placing this in the correct category, I couldn't find one that seemed to fit well.

I am looking for a Book Printing Company. I am a photographer that shoots a lot of portraiture and weddings. Our current wedding albums are great, but they are very standard leather albums. I would like to have something a little more contemporary. I just purchased the book Angels, by Russel James. It is a Hard Cover 11x14 (vertical) that is about 300 pages long. Some of the spreads are only a single page with the other side black. I like how this is laid out. I love the size and weight of the book, along with the look.

Where could I find a quality printer that could produce this book for me. The book I purchased is about $150. I understand they do large runs of these to bring the cost down, but I am hoping to find something in the same ball park.

Here is a link to the book I am referring too, you can find the dimensions if I wasn't clear.

All manufacturers are welcome. Thank you in advance!
phototransformations
Blurb did a great job on a 12"x12", 228 page photo book I did for about that price. BookBaby is decent for up to 8.5x11. If you are wii g to order 1000 at a time, you can get magnificent books done in China and Iceland for 1/10th that cost. But 1000 is a lot of books. lex_jenkins
Artisan State offers flush mount lay-flat books on light sensitive paper, rather than HP Indigo or other types of press output. No idea how good they are but I'm considering Artisan for a small batch of books.
