Nikon Issues Service Advisory 10-30 N1 lens

<p>Nikon INC has issued a service advisory for their Nikon 1 10-30mm zoom lens. The original one, not the latest one that comes with the Nikon 1 V3. </p>

<p>Doh, do I get a prize for having <strong>2</strong>? Both my and my wife's are 'un-spotted'.</p>

<p>I've not had a problem with either, so am thinking 'not to mess if it isn't bust', but I suppose it may effect resale value one day...or indeed may develop this fault at any time, probably mid vacation!</p>

<p>Yeah Mike, I got three of those suckers. One came as a kit lens with each of the three Nikon 1 cameras I've bought over the years. Sending two in for repair, then if all works well, I'll send in the third.</p>

<p>I've also just found out I've got an EnEl3 with a Serial No. on the dodgy list! I think I can still get a NEW replacement for free. My D90 will be pleased...:-)</p>

<p>Yeah, they recalled that battery a while ago.</p>

<p>Sent off my two lenses this morning. Be interesting to see how long it takes to get them back.</p>

<p>Wow! I'm impressed that Nikon has offered a free service to address what is basically a longevity issue on a "cheap" kit lens.</p>

<p>Lenses sent of Feb 4th, returned today, Feb 20th. Pretty quick turn around.</p>
