hareshkhanna
I am using a M3 with a rigid summicron 50mm for the past year and keep both eyes open (earlier with SLRs I was a left eye shooter, but now am comfortable using right eye on M3). I'd like to know if keeping both eyes open is still possible with the 0.86 viewfinder magnification bodies.
sid_chatterjee
I've have not had an issue going from my M3 to M7 0.85 with both eyes open. What I find distracting are those extra frame lines. For fixed 50mm lens I love the M3 and that's how I keep by DR Summi.
christopher_junker1
It takes a little getting used to two viewfinder magnifications, but I practiced and now use both an M3 and an M4-2 with both eyes open. The M3 with either a Summicron or Summilux 50 is so easy to use right eyed. Leaving both eyes open I find less tiring than trying to shoot with one closed.
g-man1
Yes, it works well enough and as a bonus one gets a floating 35mm frame line.
