Saw it unfolding and decided to take advantage of the opportunity to share something a little different still using a Canon FDn lens. With snow falling all day yesterday the birds were in a feeding frenzy...field of view of the Canon 400 I had mounted seemed right to catch incoming / outgoing bird action around that feeder at 40-50 feet...they are quick little buggers.
Yellow Rumped Warblers are aggressive towards each other and the action clip I really want to get some day is when one comes in and tries to scare off another, they sometimes go beak-to-beak, fighting / fluttering straight up in the air 10-15 feet like going up an elevator in a high-rise.

This clip is at first light this morning following an 8" snowfall.
Yellow-Rumped Warblers apparently find it beneath them to get down on the ground and eat birdseed.
(under a nice dry snow shelter !).
Their 1st choice is peanut butter, next choice is grape jelly.
But the only thing in a feeder at first light was some leftover grape jelly.
( Canon FDn 400/4.5 )
