chris_bavaria
They did kind of fake lifestyle shots of people in their living rooms/back yards. I remember one with a guy golfing and maybe a woman getting drunk by a pool. Any thoughts?

spanky
Sounds like it might be Bill Owens but his work was not fake. He photographed people in their actual homes, offices, etc and the quotes that often accompany these pictures were really their own words too.

chris_bavaria
Nope not either of them. Was in color and not as fantasy as Crewdson.
sjmurray
You could be thinking of Martin Parr. http://www.martinparr.com/
But he doesn't do fake photos.
pmind
Sounds like some (many) of David LaChapelle's shoots.
chris_bavaria
Not Parr either, similar feel though. It wasn't as crazy as LaChapelle. It was very minimalistic one or two people sitting around. Very golden hour-esque lighting. Made me think of housewives in Palm Springs.
