anders_karlsson1
Hi!

I’m curious about ColorPerfect and how this plug-in can be useful when editing scanned images. So I set out to demo ColorPerfect as a Photoshop Elements 8 plug-in, but after downloading and extracting the zip file, I'm struggling to figure out in which catalogue to place the .8bf file.

First I tried the ”Filters” folder, then the ”Plug-ins” folder but it still doesn't show up when I open PSE. I run a Windows 8 64-bit system and I’ve tried both the 32- and 64-bit files without success. Is there anyone out there who can help me figure out how to get this thing going on my machine?

Thanks in advance.
Wouter Willemse
I haven't tried this plugin, but I would say you should use the 32-bits version since PS Elements is a 32-bits application. According to the readme of the plug-in, it should go into the Filters folder; the path should be something like c:\program files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 8\Plug-Ins\Filters.
Wouter Willemse
I've just checked on a system with PSE 9 installed, and possibly you need to try the folder "Effects" instead of "Filters".
cabbiinc
Once you put it in the appropriate folder restart PSE. You should find it under Filter> CFSystems> ColorPerfect.
