Exposure meter does not work 2.8 FX

Recommended Posts

I have a Rolleiflex 2.8 FX, and the exposure meter does not work. I tried changing the battery ( I am not sure yet if it has something to do) (Varta V28PX) the green light turns on when checked for voltage.
The problem is that it worked intermittently..., but now it has been imposible.
Any suggestions, or a name of someone that can help me?
Best regards,
Víctor

Hi Victor,

There is a known problem with PX28 batteries making unreliable contact in modern Rolleiflexes. I have described it here:
http://www.rolleigraphy.org/information.php#batteries
In those cases the battery check green light will not turn on because there is no juice at all. Your problem seems different. The battery check is OK (green) and the exposure meter still does not work. Nevertheless make sure it is not "short battery issue" or the "partly unscrewed battery cover" problem.
