scott_jones2
On a recent thread I asked about small portable point and shoot 4x5 cameras and one response was the Gran View (www.granview.com ). Has anyone actually used this camera or own it? I would be interested in any comments about its use and function. I anticipate I would use a "normal" lens of 150mm that I already own... john_kasaian1
Scott, I don't know anything about the Gran View, but I have a point and shoot Gowland aerial in 8x10. FWIW, Gowland has a 20% off sale on his cameras and if the price is right his 4x5 point and shoot "aerial" models might be worth a look. I believe they are designed for 150mm. The Crown Graphic is one heck of a camera as well. ----------Cheers!
john_burnley1
Shutterbug had a favorable review (did it ever print an 'unfavorable review?) on the Gran View some years ago. You might be able to locate the issue by doing a search on their website. The design should work fine, not a lot to go wrong with it.
wayne_firth3
Here's an previous thread. http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=0033Bl I have one and IMHO the money could be spent in better ways. The Gran View is about the size of a Busch pressman, costs more and is less functional.
