miles_jarrett
Hello there,
I've just recently found a good Leica M3 in excellent condition, One thing that I found odd is that when I was inspecting it I found the seal instead of having an L it has a B instead.

Anyone know anything about a B seal? Is it fake? Is it a trademark of a specific service centre?

Thanks.

jim_a
According to this, it's Leitz: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-collectors-historica/47291-l-sealed-means-what.html#post805415
paul_hagan
Hi, If it is an upper case B with a 'flourished' style then it is Leitz GB (London). I have an M3 with a similar seal. I know it is for real as I am the only owner and Leitz GB were involved in a repair many years ago. Just found your post so apologies for late reply as you may have this answer already. Regards Paul
