Leica seal 'B'?

<p>Hello there,<br>

I've just recently found a good Leica M3 in excellent condition, One thing that I found odd is that when I was inspecting it I found the seal instead of having an L it has a B instead.<br>

<br />Anyone know anything about a B seal? Is it fake? Is it a trademark of a specific service centre? <br /><br />Thanks.</p>

Hi,

If it is an upper case B with a 'flourished' style then it is Leitz GB (London).

I have an M3 with a similar seal. I know it is for real as I am the only owner and Leitz GB were involved in a repair many years ago.
