scoke Posted January 1, 2014 Share Posted January 1, 2014 <p>Do any of you have an opinion as to the sharpness/quality difference between the Zeiss 50mm f/2.0 T* Planar, ZM (Leica mount) and the Zeiss 50mm f/1.4 ZF.2 (Nikon mount). I have the Nikon mount version, but have considered getting the Leica mount version to use on the Sony A7.</p> Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
james_symington1 Posted January 16, 2014 Share Posted January 16, 2014 I used to use the ZF version on a D800E and now the ZM on the A7 and A7R and I would say the ZM is far better at F2 than the ZF was at the same aperture. If you want manual focus over the also brilliant 55mm FE then I think you have little to worry about. Going wider than that on the ZMs presents other problems though.
