kirknwim
I have a 6008 Professional with a loading problem. I have a 120 back and two inserts. The problem used to not happen very often but is increasingly worse. When I load the film then hit the shutter release to advance the film, sometimes it won't recognize that the film has been advanced to the first frame. Sometimes it won't advance to the first frame at all. I just keep getting little clicks from the advance motor. Other times, it will advance to the first frame, take a few photos, and then act like I have not loaded a roll. When I release the shutter trigger I get a few short clicks then a really long advance. So, what happens is that on the negative I get three overlapped photos and a long gap. Very frustrating!!! Has anybody had a problem like this. I have sent the camera in, had the counter disc replaced, the counter disc pcb replaced, the body latch, and the mag latch all replaced. The warranty on that work just ran out last month. Any help from anybody out there would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Kirk
vijay_nebhrajani
It is kinda hard to diagnose a problem on the web, but here goes anyway. 1. Does this happen with both inserts? 2. Could you try another back with a different insert than the two you have? I know you mentioned that you have one back, but could you borrow/try another back at all? kirknwim
Vijay Thanks for responding. 1. Yes, it happens with both inserts 2. Don't have friends or money for another try. :-( Kirk

ci_p
It is probably a problem with all the fiddly cog stuff in the back. I took one of these apart once, but could never get it back together properly.
anthony_lee4
This happened when the back had some problem. I had a few back which had the same problem when used for an extended period of time. I suggest you to send back for repair.
jim_chow
I suspect the magazine roller is dirty and/or needs lubing. The fillm slides over the roller, which turns those internal cogs. If the film just slides over the roller without turning it (from excessive dirt or lack of lubrication), it won't properly advance the film. One simple test is to try it with a different magazine, if you have one. Changing inserts won't make any difference.
vijay_nebhrajani
Looks like Dr. Chow and others beat me to it. Yes, it is probably a problem with the back. You could try turning the fat rollers on the back (not the insert) to see that they turn smoothly, but beyond that is a job for an expert. Good luck!
