robert_k1
The formatting options have disappeared. What gives? WinXP and Firefox
William Kahn
A little more info, Robert? Are you talking about the toolbar at the top of the response pane? It's showing here...
MichaelChang
Just tried on my XP-Firefox machine and it showed up just fine.
JDMvW
Over the weekend, a number of features (images of certain kinds, paragraph formatting, menu bars, etc.) Disappeared and reappeared mysteriously. If it had been a St. Pat's Day weekend, it might have made more sense.

I do note that the effects did occur at more or less the same time as many minimum wage workers were on strike across the USA.

Coincidence? You decide.

Anyway, the elves seem to have worked very hard and all now seems well at my end, anyhow.
robert_k1
Yes, I was referring to the toolbar. It is still missing. Is there a enable/disable setting for it somewhere? Do the elves ever post here?
MichaelChang
Are you running any extensions (plugins) that might disable Javascripts or other site features? Plugins like NoScript might do that by default so you'll have to configure it accordingly.
robert_k1
The only Firefox extensions are ad blcok and zone alarm. Disabling them made no difference. I should add that prior to the toolbar disappearing, I had not intentionally made any changes on my XP-Firefox or at PN. The elves made me misspell ad blcok :-) Don't they have better things to do? MichaelChang
As indicated above, I tried the same setup as yours and it worked fine. The only other suggestion I can offer is to try uninstalling Firefox then perform a fresh reinstall.

You can do it by preserving preferences and bookmarks etc., or back everything up and then delete everything prior to a fresh reinstall.
robert_k1
Thanks for the suggestions.
Got it. The WYSIWYG editor in my workspace's account setting was disabled (by whom?). Enabling it brings back the toolbar.

Will the guilty elf please stand up!
