k_michael
I'm looking for some history on the black Contax G2. When was it first made? Was it a limited edition or is it still in production? Why is it more difficult to find black lenses? Adorama doesn't carry them at all. I'm interested in all the info I can get on this model.
roger c
I've only seen it sold as a limited edition kit with the 45mm, 90mm and 28mm lenses and the TLA200 flash. It's still available from Robert White in the UK (http://www.robertwhite.co.uk) for 1600 UKP.

k_michael
I was in B&H today. The black body is $300 more than the titanium.
k_michael
I've had my black G2 for almost two months now. It's a great camera but I noticed that the black chips off prety easily. Plus, I see all the smudge marks all over it. Contax should have made the black body with a better finish. Moot issue? Of course! According to the boys in Kyocera, the black will never be seen again. I guess it didn't meet their expectations.
