eric_m4
Whenever I open up folders with RAW images (Nikon images known as NEF files) I only get a collection of small icons with NEF label but can't seem to view the actual thumbnail image unless I view it in Nikon's ViewNX 2 or Photoshop. Is there any way to view the images just as thumbnails in Windows 7 without having to go into another viewer/program? Thanks.

StanleyBeck
I tried the Nikon codec, and it caused more problems then it solved. I had to uninstall it. Use the codec from Microsoft – it works without problems.
eric_m4
Stanley,
At the very top of codec page it states "for D7100". I have a D7000. Maybe that's the problem.
