<p>Spent about 3 hours on Redington Shores, FL. Monday watching the nesting Terns and skimmers. Always wanted to get a shot like this but would only see maybe one bird skim and it would happen so fast I never got a good shot. Well with hundreds of skimming birds in one place I got many chances and a couple of good ones in focus. Very hard to get a good shot with them coming so fast right at me. Nikon D3X, Nikon 300 2.8, 1/320 sec, f/13, ISO 200</p><div></div>

<p>Hi everyone. Some great pictures again this week.</p>

<p>The eventual arrival of spring has got me out and about photographing oil seed rape fields which are one of my favourite subjects. I have also been experimenting with Photomatix software, which can give some pretty wacky results. I posted these on Facebook, and they have proved to be a hit with my friends and family. I'm really not sure though! </p><div></div>

This little fellow ran into my window. I believe it is a type of thrush called a 'Veery'. It's about robin sized. I can here it say 'Man, do I have a headache! Got any aspirin?'</p><div></div>

<p>Happy Wednesday everyone. It been a while since I had anything to share with you guys. I've been in more of a gear acquisition phase than a gear using phase as of late. One of the things that I have acquired recently was a set of Hoya closeup diopters. I was playing around in the back yard a couple of days ago with them attached to my 55/3.5 and PK-13 extension tube. working distance was almost nothing, not surprisingly.</p>
