lonsdale
The MKIII is different from the II, at first I could not get my computer to read the card. Then I updated to iPhoto 9.4.2. This one recognized my camera or when using a card reader.
jamesgysen
Mark, It may be helpful if you could let us know what software you are using to unload your images; i.e. Lightroom, ACR, Canon software (shipped with your camera)
ljwest
If you use Aperture or iPhoto, and shoot in RAW, make sure that your Mac is updated to the latest Apple Digital Camera RAW version. You usually do this with Software Update.

If you have an Adobe product, you will need to check with them for the appropriate version that will read the Mark IIIs image format.

Also, what Mac are you using, and what version of OS X? That may help us troubleshoot with you.
robert_turner5
Via "Image Capture" (see your Mac's utilities), you'll definitely connect to your 5d3. If you have a relatively current OS, RAW compatibility is no problem, if the OS is older you may be stuck to jpegs for now.
